Halle Berry Confirms Pregnancy

Berry confirmed to Access Hollywood that she is expecting her first child with Aubry, her beau of almost two years. Berry said, "Yes, I am three months pregnant. Gabriel and I are beyond excited and I’ve waited a long time for this moment in my life." She added, "Now the next seven months will be the longest of my life!" It was recently rumored that Berry’s next flick was shelved due to her pregnancy. A source said that the film Tulia has not been scrapped entirely…just put on hold for the time being. The film is about the drug and racial profiling case in Tulia, Texas and is to be directed by John Singleton.

Berry has always been very vocal about the fact that she wants to have children saying in an interview that took place earlier this year, "I definitely want children. Very much." She also said in an interview with Parade magazine, "My sights are set on a different chapter in my life, which is motherhood. That’s the goal I have clearly set for myself." She said in another interview, "I want my kids to realize it’s only through hard work that any success or real joy comes. It’s not about money; it’s the intangible rewards – having integrity and doing what you say you’re going to do."

Berry, 41, and Aubry, 32, met in November 2005 during a shoot for a Versace advertisement in Los Angeles. They made their first debut as a couple in February 2006 at a Versace boutique opening in New York City. Berry, who has been married twice before, has said that she will never remarry. She said, "Actually, it’s just that now I have come to a place where I think two people can share their lives without the ring, without the piece of paper."
