How to do Hair Spa at Home
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Deep conditioner
- Hair mask
- Wide-toothed comb
- Step 1
Heat half a cup of extra virgin olive oil and let it cool down. When the oil is still a little warm, apply it on your scalp and hair. Massage the oil thoroughly on your scalp with your fingertips with gentle circular motion. Make sure that you do not tug or pull at your hair while massaging, or it will lead to hair fall.

Next, soak a clean towel in a bucket of warm water. Wring the towel to remove the excess water. Wrap the warm towel around your head, so that your hair is covered by the towel. Leave the towel wrapped on your head for 10 to 15 minutes. This will help the oil penetrate the shaft of the hair and will nourish and condition it.

Once you have applied steam to your hair, the next step is to wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo. Choose a shampoo that suits your hair type and texture. Rinse hair with lukewarm water.

Dab the excess water from hair. Make sure that you do not rub your hair vigorously with the towel. This will only rough up the hair cuticles and contribute to frizziness. Take a small amount of deep conditioner and apply it on your hair. For even application, divide your hair with a wide-toothed comb into equal sections. You can also use a natural conditioner that is suitable for your hair type. By deep conditioning your hair, you can protect your hair from frizziness. Leave the conditioner on your hair for 15 to 20 minutes.

Rinse hair to remove conditioner from hair. Pat dry with a towel to remove excess water. Next, section your hair with a with a wide-toothed comb. Apply the hair mask liberally over each section of hair. Make sure that each strand of hair is well-coated with the hair mask. Wrap a warm towel on your head for 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it off thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Cover your head with a shower cap or a plastic wrap and leave it for at least 20 minutes. Rinse it off with water and a mild, suitable shampoo.
For Normal Hair
Mix one mashed banana with 1 beaten egg, 2 tablespoons of honey, 3 tablespoons of milk, and 5 tablespoons of olive oil. Whip up the concoction well, so as to get a uniform texture. Apply on the scalp and leave it on for about 30 minutes. Wash your hair with a suitable shampoo.
For Oily Hair
In a small bowl, mix ¼ cup of coconut milk with 2 tablespoons of thick yogurt. Apply this mixture on your scalp and hair. After 20 minutes, wash hair with a mild shampoo.
