Women do not like unwanted facial hair because it prevents them to have a satin smooth facial skin. As long as, it is thin and not visible to the eye it is not a problem. In this method, a thread is put across the skin to catch the hair and then it is gently plucked. It can be done by your beautician who has taken a special training for this. Both these process are a bit painful and need to be done regularly.

Bleaching Facial Hair
Bleaching does not remove the hair, but only lightens the color of your facial hair in way that it less noticeable. In this method, a chemical is applied on your face that takes out the pigment from your facial hair. The advantages of this method are that it is easy to apply, not painful and also not costly. It is a good option for those whose facial hair is fine. If the facial hair is thick, then the bleached hair too can be easily seen. In case, your skin gets irritation during bleaching, you should stop the process immediately.

Using Facial Hair Removers
There are many depilatory creams, gels and lotions available in the market. You should choose the one that is suitable for facial hair only. These facial hair removers have certain chemical substances in them that help in dissolving the hair follicles and thus, effectively removes the hair without any pain. It can cause irritation or give a burning sensation. Therefore, it is advisable to undergo a small skin test prior to its application. Apply a little cream on a small area on your neck to check for any allergic reactions.

Electrolysis for Facial Hair
This is a permanent method for hair removal. It helps in stopping facial hair growth forever. Here, electric pulses are sent to the roots of each facial hair in order to destroy them. It requires several sessions of electrolysis treatment before you can get rid of all facial hair permanently. Electrolysis is quite a painful process hence you should go for it only if you have a thick hair growth.

Laser for Facial Hair
This is the latest technique to remove facial hair and the most expensive one. Laser hair removal is a relatively pain free process. In this process, the laser rays heats up the dark pigments present in the facial hair that causes the destruction of the follicles. It does not remove hair permanently and remains effective for three to six months. It should be done a by trained professional only. This method cannot be used on people who have dark skin or light hair. Some side effects like change in skin pigmentation have been observed in certain cases.

Our facial skin is more sensitive than hair on the skin of any other part of the body. Hence, facial hair removal methods tend to result some side effects like redness, swelling and even burns. If these side effects continue to persist even after stopping the treatment, you should consult your doctor for further advice. It is always advisable to consult a dermatologist before opting for any treatment for facial hair removal.
