Hair Extensions
If you are fond of changing your hairstyle frequently, then hair extensions can be the perfect option for you. You can add style and length with beautiful hair extensions. It would be interesting to know more about various types of hair extensions.
Types of Hair Extensions
Hair extensions can offer a dramatic change to your look and style. They can be used for making a perfect hairstyle for different occasions such as weddings and parties. Hair extensions are about 26-30" in length. You should not select too long extension as it can put an excess pressure on your scalp and cause damage to your original hair. The extension of about 22" or less is perfect for a woman with an average height. You can find a wide variety of hair extensions available in the market.
Some of the common types of hair extensions are curly hair extensions, straight hair extensions, clip on hair extensions, etc. Other than traditional black and brown colors, they come in different vibrant colors such as golden, orange, red, pink, green and even blue. The hair extensions are made from human hair, synthetic fibers or animal hair. The human hair extensions are considered as the best, as they are the most natural looking.
How to apply Hair Extensions?
You can attach the hair extensions to your original hair using different ways such as strand-by-strand method, or alternative attachment methods such as sew-in or bonding, the Malaysian technique, Keratin bonding or net weaves. In individual strand method, the extensions are applied to your original hair using heat fusing, clamping, glue or using polymers and waxes. You can also apply the extension with a weft application method. A weft looks like a curtain of hair attached together at the top and free flowing at the bottom. These wefts are handmade or machine-made. Hair extensions can be applied by the method of bonding, which is one of the easiest methods. The bonding glue is applied onto the weft of the extension and then it is applied at the root of the hair. The extensions can be applied using the mini-links method. In this method, there is no use of heat, glue or remover. It involves a use of small circular links, through which your original hair is pulled. The hair is put inside the link and squeezed tight.
Maintaining Hair Extensions
You need to take care of your hair extensions to keep them in good condition. When you place the extensions, don’t wash your hair at least for two days, as the extensions need enough time to set properly. Avoid a frequent washing of your hair with extensions, as it can detach the extensions. It is advised that you should wash and deeply condition in a gentle manner every two to three days. You should use the specialized shampoo and conditioner. You can also use the serums, leave-in conditioners or different styling products. You can curl, straighten or blow dry your hair extensions. You can cut and style it in whatever shape. You can even dye the extensions. However, before dying your extension, you need to understand the type and texture of your hair, because different hair types dye differently. Avoid going to bed with wet hair. When you are using the hot appliances, keep them away from the bonded tip of the extension. Run your fingers through the braid extensions in order to prevent tangling.
The exclusive hair extensions help the people acquire a charming look they have always dreamt of. Select a perfect one and discover an amazing difference in your looks.
