A rep for the couple confirmed that Stefani, 38, gave birth Thursday to a boy named Zuma Nesta Rock at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The baby was born at 12:46 p.m. and weighed a whopping 8 1/2 pounds. The rep said in a statement, "Mother, baby and family are all happy and healthy." Rossdale said in an interview last month that the couple didn’t know the baby’s gender. He said, "It’s just gonna be insane when it comes because then we will find out what it is. And then we get to name the baby! It’s gonna be such chaos…amazing chaos!"

In January, Rossdale’s father Doug, confirmed the pregnancy and said, "They and the whole family are delighted." Stefani has been very vocal about having another child. Last summer she said in an interview, "Obviously I’m in a race to have another, but I don’t want to do it while on tour. But I can’t wait to get pregnant again. It’s so fun and consuming and romantic." Stefani and Rossdale have a two-year old son named Kingston James McGregor Rossdale. The couple met in 1995 at a No Doubt concert and were married in September 2002. Rossdale has a 16-year old daughter from a previous relationship. Stefani said of motherhood, "I definitely don’t get enough sleep, but I’d rather spend time with him. I’ve got this extra-fun, amazing, little guy who just wants to hang out with me."

Stefani is reportedly reuniting with her band No Doubt later this year and they will be working on their next studio album. She is also set to team up with Timbaland for a song on his latest album Shock Value II. The album will reportedly be released in November. Rossdale, formerly of Bush, released his first solo album "WANDERlust" in June.
