TinyMCE is a platform independent web based Javascript HTML WYSIWYG editor control released as Open Source under LGPL. The article editor of Drupal is a plain text box by default, in order to format an article, you will have to input HTML tag manually. So, TinyMCE really opens up the world for web publishing to those with limited HTML knowledge background, .
But, installing TinyMCE is a hard task to most of the Drupal user, especially the installation guide in Drupal site is not clear enough. This article will talk about how to enable it in Drupal 6.x.

- First, you will need to download the module "TinyMCE for Drupal 6" from http://drupal.org/project/tinymce, this module will allow you to integrate TinyMCE with Drupal.
- Extract the code, and place the files to the folder "modules/tinymce".
- Above module will allow you to enable the integration between Drupal and TinyMCE. It doesn't include the function of TinyMCE. In order to make it work, you will need to download the TinyMCE source code. Please download the latest version (Main Package - tinymce_3_1_1.zip), un-compress the files, and put all the code to the 'tinymce" sub-folder of "TinyMCE for Drupal6", so your folder should look like "module/tinymce/tinymce".
- Copy the folder 'modules/tinymce/plugins/drupalbreak' to 'modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/drupalbreak'. This installs a TinyMCE-plugin that can edit Drupal (page)breaks.
- Go to Administer -> Site building -> Modules and enable the TinyMCE module.
- Go to Administer -> User management -> Permissions and choose who gets to use TinyMCE
- Go to Administer > Site configuration -> TinyMCE, and create a profile. Make sure to expand the sections and fill out the complete form.
- Now you can enjoy TinyMCE editor now. Go to "Create Content", you will see your Body input editor has been changed.
