Grilling chicken; a perfect Sunday afternoon barbeque excuse. Although there are different ways to cook chicken, grilling it is one of my favorite techniques. The juices get trapped inside the chicken, and the herbs and spices which you used, they give out a unique mix of flavors. Has your mouth started to water already? Then let's not waste any time and jump right to the following recipes. This article will give you helpful pointers and recipes so that you will know which is the best way to grill chicken breasts, wings, legs, and thighs.

Grilled Chicken Breasts

Ingredients
  • 2 large chicken breast, butterflied, boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • Salt, white pepper, and black pepper, for taste
  • Parsley leaves, chopped, for garnish
For Scampi Butter Base
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon white wine
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ¼ lb unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Worcestershire sauce
Directions

First we will make the scampi base. In a bowl, you will add all the ingredients for the scampi base mentioned above and mix everything properly. Here, you will also add the 2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro. Preheat the grill on high. Use canola oil to coat the chicken and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 5 minutes on all sides. If you don't know how long to grill chicken breast for, wait until the meat turns completely white. Once that happens, take it off the grill and add the scampi cilantro butter base on top. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve immediately.

Grilled Chicken Wings

Ingredients
  • 3½ lbs wings, separated at the joints, rinsed
  • 3 tablespoons green onion, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, chopped
  • ½ cup lemongrass, chopped
  • ¼ cup shallots, chopped
  • ¼ cup ginger, chopped
  • ¼ cup dry-roasted peanuts, chopped
  • ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
  • ⅓ cup fish sauce
  • Salt and black pepper, for taste
Directions

Take a food processor to mix garlic, ginger, green onions, lemongrass, shallots, brown sugar, lime juice, peanut oil, and fish sauce together. Blend till you get a smooth marinade mixture. Pour it directly on the wings and transfer into a Ziploc bag. Let the wings marinate in the refrigerator overnight.

When you're ready to cook, preheat the grill on high heat and take the wings out of the Ziploc bag. Place the wings directly on the grill and let it cook thoroughly. Sprinkle salt and black pepper on top. In between, use the marinade from the bag and baste the wings. If you don't know how long does it take to grill chicken wings, then cook for about 18 minutes first as you baste and then perhaps 10 minutes more after that. To serve, place the wings on bottom and then sprinkle chopped peanuts and cilantro from top. You can serve the wings with Greek yogurt dip or goat cheese dip.

Grilled Chicken Thighs and Legs

Ingredients
  • 8 pieces chicken legs w/ thighs
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro, for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ⅓ cup lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper, for taste
Directions

In a Ziploc bag, combine rosemary, garlic powder, paprika, lemon juice, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and salt and pepper together. Add chicken inside, close it tightly, and mix properly. Place the bag in the refrigerator overnight. The next day, preheat the grill on high and remove chicken from the bag. Place it on the grill and cook all sides till the meat can be removed from the bone with a fork. To serve, take the legs onto a platter, sprinkle some lemon juice on top, garnish with chopped cilantro, and dig in.
