Museums include the Greensboro Cultural Center and the nationally recognized Weatherspoon Art Gallery, specializing in 20th century American pieces.

From January until March, the city hosts the African-American Arts Festival where there is a wide variety of exhibits and events throughout the city, showcasing music, arts, and more. The Greensboro Coliseum brings in all types of events, such as card and car shows, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and college sports. The city is filled with 170 parks to laze away the days, as well as what seems like endless golf courses in the surrounding areas.
