Grandma I tried to make it to the hospital in time
To say my goodbyes but that wasn't meant to be
How sad I was that I wasn't there for you
I miss you already and my heart feels
Like it's been broken in zillion pieces..

Oh, how I wish for this to be a nightmare
And I would wake up soon
But it's not
They tell me that you went peacefully
I know that should make me feel a tad better..

But the truth is I wasn't ready to let you go not just yet
But God had other plans for you
You're lying there looking like you're asleep
I want to reach down and shake you..

Wake you and make you open your eyes
But I don't because I know you're already out of my reach
And God has already taken you home
Rest in peace Grandma love you always..
