Grand Dad's Old Cap
A Poem about happy Memories.
It hangs on an old rusty hook behind the front door,
Grandpa's' old worn out hat,
And there it will stay,
Until the day!
We harden our hearts and through it away,
Grandpa lived in his old hat,
It never came off his head,
Rain, Wind, Hail, Snow or even Sun,
The two were one,
I remember how it looked when it was new,
But now its old Shabby and well worn,
It looks so Forlorn,
I remember year after year,
It went everywhere old Grandpa went,
To the Zoo, the Fair, the Market and the Local Pub,
I doubt that I will ever see the day,
When we Throw out,
Grandpa's old Hat.
Grandpa's' old worn out hat,
And there it will stay,
Until the day!
We harden our hearts and through it away,
Grandpa lived in his old hat,
It never came off his head,
Rain, Wind, Hail, Snow or even Sun,
The two were one,
I remember how it looked when it was new,
But now its old Shabby and well worn,
It looks so Forlorn,
I remember year after year,
It went everywhere old Grandpa went,
To the Zoo, the Fair, the Market and the Local Pub,
I doubt that I will ever see the day,
When we Throw out,
Grandpa's old Hat.
