Grand Conspiracy Against Tim Robbins at the Voting Booth?

Tim Robbins, trying merely to cast his vote on election day, was turned away from his polling station when his name was not found on the registration rolls
Tim Robbins, a noted movie actor and husband of Susan Sarandon, was turned away from his polling place in New York City on Tuesday. The reason? Simply enough, Robbins was not on the voter list. Said Robbins when questioned about his ordeal, "The poll workers here know me. I’ve been voting here 15 years. My name was there for the primaries." In other words, and to borrow a line from Ron Burgundy, Tim thinks he’s "kind of a big deal…people know him." Despite that, when he requested to speak with an official from the city’s board of elections he was told that he would have to speak with someone at the board’s Manhattan office.

Robbins traveled to the Manhattan office where it was confirmed that he was properly registered to vote. He thereafter returned to the proper polling place and cast his vote for president of the United States. Asked for his thoughts, Robbins went on to say, "I have the time and the luxury to do this. If this is a systemic thing, what does that mean for the country?"

Visions of conspiracy are dancing in the heads of journalists everywhere, but Robbins apparently didn’t see things that way…he was merely miffed at the process he had to go through to cast his ballot. No word on who Robbins voted for, but the terribly clever "Hockey Dads for Obama" t-shirt he sported may have given him away. Robbins, along with wife Sarandon, is generally known for his outspoken liberalism and support for the Democratic Party.
