Graduation Soccer Theme Party

Choosing a party theme helps all the plans. A graduation soccer theme party is perfect if the graduate loves soccer.
For a graduation party or birthday party there is nothing more exciting than arranging it around the passions and interests of the graduate or birthday person. I do think it is the best way to have a party. One great thing about One great thing about being decisive and choosing a great theme is the focus that brings to all party arrangements. The invitations can be designed and worded to reflect the theme. The costumes, games, favors, prizes and food can be chosen quickly. Also the decorations can be bought, borrowed and made with a clear mind on what is required. It may be hard work to do, but at least you know and understand where it is all going. Even better if you are able to choose a theme that the graduate and the guests are passionate about. Of course the theme may not suit everyone but it should suit the majority.

There are lots of fantastic themes. Clearly the theme you choose depends on the guest of honor. However it may also need to be suitable for the venue you have in mind. I like to spend some time thinking through how it would all work. The graduate may be a passionate sports person, dancer, artist or a comedian, for example. Our family do love sports a lot and our biggest passion is soccer. We have cable subscriptions to take European soccer, we subscribe to a soccer magazine, we support the same team and we listen to an English radio station online on a Saturday to hear the English soccer.

When our son was graduating he was very keen to have a soccer theme party. His friends and his sisters were keen too. I loved the idea as I believed it would be simple to set up and there are a number or games we could play.

Instantly we decided on the park as a venue. We had all ages coming to the party so the park offered a flexible venue. We themed the party as a club soccer party. Costume was any club jersey. We had pennants and jerseys at the park with club posters on boards. We collected as much memorabilia as we could get and set up tables for guests to view the displays. We had banners with soccer balls on them We did our best to find as many soccer things as we could. We found soccer balls, goals, boots, a referee jersey, club t-shirts, baseball caps, magazines, newspapers and as many photos as we could get.

The games were soccer shoot in keeping the ball up, a game with five on each side, soccer volleyball and we also had a local player teach everyone some skills.

I am glad we chose to have a theme the graduate was passionate about.
