Grace and Bible Verses
If we only believed these verses our lives would be entirely changed! Look at what they say: "Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord." 2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace in abundance? Is it possible? Oh Yes! The more you know Christ, the more you have them!
Grace and peace can and do come in abundance in the believer’s life but it doesn’t happen in his sleep…it takes knowledge. It takes the effort of knowing the Bible-namely reading it, studying it and applying it in our everyday lives. When you become a Christian, that is only the beginning of the journey! It is like being born into a family and you are just an infant so you need to eat you need to grow or if you don’t, the parents should be worried and take you to the doctor. It is the same spiritually speaking. You need to hear from God yourself! You need to talk to God yourself, to communicate to Him and to expect Him to communicate with you. God reveals Himself to you and will reveal more and more truth to you as you desire to know Him. Oh how wonderful it is not to be troubled by circumstances, but instead to have peace and grace from abundance in spite of hardships !
Believe what God tells you and treasure His words in your heart, they will bring forth fruit:
"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:8
So by getting to know God more and more, grace and peace is multiplied in your life and when God’s grace abounds "in all things at all times, having all that you need" you’ll be able to live a life full of God’s works trough you.
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen." 2 Peter 3:18
"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast." 1 Peter 5:10
"Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those who eat them." Hebrews 13:9
"But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." James 4:6
" Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed." 1 Peter 1:13
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10
‘Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." 1 Peter 5:5
"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men." Titus 2:11
"…so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life." Titus 3:7
"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone." Colossians 4:6
"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16
"But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it." Ephesians 4:7
"We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Thessalonians 1:12
"May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope…" 2 Thessalonians 2:16
"You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus." 2 Timothy 2:1
"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich." 2 Corinthians 8:9
"…made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved." Ephesians 2:5
"…in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:7-9
