GPS Help Find the Hole
Of all the golf equipment innovations we have seen in the last few decades, the golf hand held GPS has to be the most helpful to come along. No more questioning yourself whether or not you have the right club. Golf GPS make it easy to find the hole.
If you have played golf for any amount of time, you have had many shots that went astray not because you miss hit the ball but because you miss judged the distance to the pin and chose the wrong club. This happens to us all and was a very big problem for me as I am a very poor judge of distance. I had a distance finder that you look through to the flag but this was only usable when the flag is visible, making it difficult to get the correct distance on doglegs and hilly golf courses.
Choosing the right golf club has never been easier than it is now with a hand held GPS system. I can't blame miss hits on the wrong club anymore. Now if I come up short to the green or if I hit the back of the green and fly off into the brush, it's because I hit too hard or not hard enough. And nothing is more irritating than flying off the back of a green because I used the wrong club.
My golf score has lowered three to five shots just because I am choosing the right club now. Personally I think one of the reasons for my lower score is confidence! It's wonderful to address the ball knowing just how far it is to the bunker or the edge of the green. And more than just having the right club in my hand, confidence has helped me more than anything else.
Now I know that I am hitting a sore spot with many golfers reading this, we all struggle with club selection several times during the course of a game. Knowing the correct distance is vital to hitting the green and lowering your golf score. Take sand traps, ponds and other hazards out of play by knowing where they are and how far you have to hit the ball to avoid them. Such a small item, but it has helped me enjoy my game just a little bit more and when it all is said and done, enjoying my golf game is what it is all about.
