Remedy 5: Castor Oil Pack
Take a piece of clean cloth and dip into Castor oil. Wring out the excess oil and place the oil imbibed cloth onto the inflamed and aching joint. Cover the cloth with plastic wrap and apply heat to this area using a hot water bottle. Doing this twice a day will help alleviate the pain.

Remedy 6: Epsom salts
Soaking the ailing foot in an Epsom salt bath can help alleviate the pain. To prepare this bath, put 3 tablespoons of Epsom salts into a basin containing hot water and soak the foot for half an hour. If gout pain has been caused in another part of the body then you could take a body bath in Epsom salts. However, for this body bath you require one to two cups of Epsom salts. Consuming lots of water help flush out uric acid crystals and prevent kidney stones.
