Google Waves
The much anticipated wait for the incredible Google Wave will be over in 24 hours. Find out what's the buzz all about and what it has to offer you.
The web has been swept over and is reeling under the big Google Wave. The countdown's begun for the ultimate nerve system, Google's launching in less than 24 hours. As a trial run, Google has already sent out 100, 000 Google Wave invites on 30th September 2009 to its adopters and developers. Google sure has the world goggling at its feet.
Google Wave is likely to give all the social network sites a run for its money and publicity, as it allows its users to get twitter, facebook, blogs, e-mail, chat and instant message updates all in one place. The new Wave is out to redefine the means of communication, retaining and adding its humongous fan list. The new buzz is known to support features such as Drag-and-drop file uploads, Wiki-style functionality, Wave Extensions, Natural language, Wave Embeds, Playback and Open-source.
Lars Rasmussen, a team member of the creators of Google Maps has worked as an engineering manager for Wave stated, "Some of you have asked what we mean by preview. This just means that Google Wave isn't quite ready for prime time. Not yet, anyway. "Since first unveiling the project back in May, we've focused almost exclusively on scalability, stability, speed and usability. Yet, you will still experience the occasional downtime, a crash every now and then, part of the system being a bit sluggish and some of the user interface being, well, quirky."
Google Wave has hypnotized the techies, designers and just any and everybody who surfs the Internet. Needless to say, Wave will be a brilliant tide for the social media enthusiasts to ride one. So let's hold our breath as Google pulls the biggest Wave on the world wide web. You are sure to live in a Google world once you log on to Wave!
