Google could become an Internet Big Brother

The European Union is concerned by the large amount of data stored by the search engine giant. Google is storing personal information for two years, including what search terms are used by unique user internet addresses, and detailed personal data from cookies. More, Google created some tools to help their users, like google browser sync which stores bookmarks and passwords to be used for users on different browser.

Google is storing personal information for two years, including what search terms are used by unique user internet addresses, and detailed personal data from cookies. More, Google created some tools to help their users, like google browser sync which stores bookmarks and passwords to be used for users on different browser.

The privacy watchdogs fear that the data can be used to identify individuals and build detailed profiles of personal political opinions, religious beliefs, and sexual behavior.

Google tells that they want to build the most comprehensive database of personal information, to take an advantage against their rivals, and to offer more other services based on this database.
