Good Movies to Rent

Be it the vacations or the weekend, a good movie is the best time killer for everyone. However, many people are unable to choose good movies to watch. In this article, I have tried to enlist various movies to rent from your friends and relatives. Even if you can't borrow from friends, try to buy it from movie stores. So, let this Christmas be filled with more fun, frolic and entertainment by including some of these movies in your DVD player list.

• Diary of Anne Frank (1959): A story about a thirteen years old German Jewish girl Anne Frank, this story conveys all that one has to go through Nazi concentration camps. It is based on the book, Anne Frank's diary.
• Saving Private Ryan (1998): One of the excellent war movies ever made on the World war II.
• The Great Escape (1963): Story about how hundred of people plane to escape from Nazi concentration camps.
• The Crucible (1996): A movie that deals with Arthur Miller's famous play, describing the Salem Witch's trials.
• Pearl Harbor (2001): A story about the Japanese attack on the Pearl Harbor. Basically, it's a romantic war classic movie.
• Gettysburg (1993): A classic tale of American civil war at Gettysburg of 1863.
• Three Kings (1999): A story about the post Persian Gulf war.

However, for rest others, it's a must watch.

• Chariots of Fire (1981): A story of two young athletes who represented Great Britain in 1924 Paris Olympics, this movie brings out the unification that sports can bring between all nations.
• Gandhi (1982): An epitome of determination, simplicity and non-violence, based on the triumphs of the 'naked fakir', Gandhi is the lesson for today's violence and war inflicted world. A movie that teaches the virtue of indomitable faith. Watch Ben Kingsley at his best!
• The Kite Runner (2007): If you have read the book, 'The Kite Runner' by Khaled Hosseini, you must be knowing what this movie is all about. Yes, a journey of two friends split apart by war. Starting from Taliban and ending in San Francisco, this movie has many life lessons to teach! A superb movie for teens and parents to watch!
• Mr. Holland's Opus (1996): At times in our lives, we have to postpone some of our dreams due to family problems. This movie is about a musician who has to postpone his dreams due to some family problems. With his deaf child, the musician fights back and pursues his dream. A beautiful story of fatherhood.
• World's Fastest Indian (2005):It's never too late to follow your dreams irrespective of age. The true story of New Zealander Burt Munro, this movie can be the best Christmas gift or Father's day fight for your uncles, father and elderly man. They'll simply love it!
• The Pursuit of Happyness (2006): A true story based on the founder of the investment and brokerage firm, Gardener Rich & Co., this movie will portray the true meaning of determination and struggle. Watch out for the sheer genius acting of Will Smith.
• Braveheart (1995): Can one man change the world? Well, Mel Gibson's Braveheart proves it from every angle! This story is based on the life of Scottish hero William Wallace! A treat to watch for all movie lovers!
• Rocky (1976): A movie that made Sylvester Stallone a star, Rocky epitomizes the meaning of sheer determination and courage to defy all the odds.
