Good Luck and Good Bye

Four years
Days, hours
For lifetimes
The door is closed
Window broken open

Got bits of you stuck
In my brown hair
Trapped
In my tiny painted toes
Orangey pink with afterglow
But you’ll never know

Wart scar blemish
Scab form
Wound unhealed
Scratch the surface
Find the blood
Red sticky sour sweet

Open my mouth
To speak
No new thing to say
No tale left untold
Story so same, so old
Enjoy the silence
The sparkling rain

Not a myth
Tears do run dry
Till eyes fill up
Brim over and
Flood my tiny universe
As I welcome
The monsoon of your return
And the deluge that follows
Yet again

Good luck and good bye.
