Good Enough

The first time it was sloppy and messy and neither of them liked it.
She was upset because it wasn't everything she ever dreamed.
He was upset because she was mad at him.
They were both upset.

She didn't want to see him anymore.
And he couldn't understand why.
She would just avoid him.
He cried.

Eventually, they left worlds where the two met.
Eventually, she forgets about him.

But he doesn't forget her.

She doesn't know why, but it fails every time.
She wants to be happy.
She really does.
But it starts to look impossible.

He knows exactly why it fails every time.
To tell you the truth, he doesn't even try.
He's just in it for the sex.
He probably has a disease by now.
But he still won't forget.

She decides to give up.
