Good Bye To The Ones I Love
A poem I wrote for a friend’s funeral that died in a drunk driving accident because she did not get to say good bye.
Goodbye to all the people I have met although I am gone do not cry for me
Do not shed a tear it is only the fear that you cry for not me
The fear of not having me to hold or talk too
The fear of really saying goodbye
My mother how I wish I could have said I love one more time and hugged you and everyone else I loved
I will miss the times every moment I enjoyed with you and I hope you will think of the good memories as you visit my grave
To everyone I say goodbye goodbye goodbye
I see the light and it calls to me oh so sweet the sun I hope to always be with you in your hearts
