Seconds turned into minutes. Minutes turned into ours. Hours turned into days. And days turned into weeks. All of that time and Miles stood protectively besides me glaring at everybody that took more than ten seconds looking at me.

It was sweet. It's been awhile since I felt safe. Miles looked a lot like Trent. But as where Trent has auburn hair, Miles has straight brown hair with a few locks stuck to his defined, sharp face and liquid emerald eyes.

How did I forget my first boyfriend?

Anyway, today was the day! I was finally given the choice of going home. Which I gladly took. Trinity and Sam were doing good. They performed a surgery on Sam for his back and Trinity is counseling for trauma. It was all worth it though. Her parents came by and thanked me for saving Trinity.

The thank you's sent a warm pinch to my heart.

Miles also, regrettably, told me that it was Savannah that caused this all to Sam. She was still very jealous and thought if she can't have him nobody else can. Turns out they weren't dating! He was merely helping her out when she became clingy.

If only I listened to Sam...

Oh yeah and she was pregnant with fraternal twins. With Trent. Yeah, it confuses me too She's in love with Sam but is pregnant by Trent..?

Unfortunately she lost the babies after she was pushed down a flight of stairs. Her story brought me to tears. How can she even think about sending Sam into this kind of pain?

There was a good chance that he would've turned out paralyzed, but the surgery helped him to regain the conscious control of his lower body.

I smiled at Miles, "Ready?"

His smile widened as he held my hand in his, "Let's go."

Did I mention he spent every night here too?

I gasped at the sight of my apartment. It was ruined! The door was one knock away from falling. The windows were shattered sending pieces everywhere inside and outside the apartment. My furniture was taken apart and in some cases broken apart.

I broke down when I saw Fall's room. The apartment was bad enough but what they did to her room was horrible. I tried hard keeping it neat and now it's a mess. Her toys were scattered, her clothes were thrown around and the pictures were ripped off. Her bed was flipped upside down and her windows were shattered also.

Her dresses were smeared with blood? Oh god, it was blood. What happened?

A plain white sticky was stuck to Fall's butterfly pillow.

"It's not over. Don't ever forget it. Next time, I'll make sure the job is finished properly. Enjoy your last few moments of life. - T."

I cried, the safe feeling exited out of my body. Trent was here before. But when? Days, hours ago? And what did he mean by 'last few moments of life?'

"How do you like my renovations? Very chic if I must say. My eyes widened, my heart stopped and my blood went cold by the mere sound of a voice. His voice. Trent's voice.

"What? Didn't expect me so soon?"

I couldn't speak at all, I was dumbstruck. "Close your mouth Night. You'll attract flies."

"What do you want?" Great my voice squeaked.

"Sam's death."

"No."

He grinned, "Not a fan of my plan?"

I stayed silent as he moved around me in a pattern of a circle.

"I've been waiting to get my hands on you again. See, your fun. This is fun. The chase, exhilarating isn't it?"

He continued as he pulled a strand of my strand, "Shame. your beauty really is in-replaceable. No wonder sam comes running back to you. You know why I hate him? He steals everything. You from Miles. My Savannah. Shall the list go on?"

"He didn't steal me from Miles,"

He laughed, "Don't be a fool. Both of you were a perfect match. Soulmates I'll call it. When Sam waltezed in the picture you were hooked. You left Miles for him."

"My choice,"

"A stupid one at that."

"Don't judge me Trent."

"Your're in no position to tell me what to do. And anyway your saviors aren't here to save you."

"I don't need them to protect me,"

"Is that so?"

"Yes."

He smirked, "Well then, let's see how you do."

In a rapid movement he had me pinned against the floor. No, not again. I pushed him off me and ran away. Straight into a muscled chest. I looked up with fear.

The fear disappeared and my eyes twinkled.

Sam.
