Golf Creates Wrinkles?

Golf is a great sport I enjoy playing whenever possible. However, it is a serious danger to the skin. I do enjoy golf, but is it worth the irreparable effects on my skin?
Golf is a peaceful game. It takes a lot of practice, a lot of patience, and a little bit of good luck. Golf can be a largely enjoyable game when played in good conditions with people of good company. However, with all of the exposure to the sun, golf is a serious threat to the skin and has a large impact on the appearance of wrinkles.

Golfers usually play 18 holes. Often times, a round of 18 holes can take up to 6 hours. Under good conditions, the game can be played in around three hours. A lot of that depends on the groups in front of you, how fast they golf, and if they like to take their time between shots.

No matter if your round takes three hours or six hours, that is a lot of exposure to the sun. The sun can be very damaging to the skin, and is of course a big reason why our skin gets wrinkles. The sun has an impact on the skin in a way that creates wrinkles, and this starts early in life. Proper skin care means applying a lotion with spf about every two hours, or as needed.

Keeping that in mind, people who golf more than once per week have a serious risk to keep in mind - the sun. With the sun beating down on their skin for up to 24 hours each week, they run the risk of having deeper wrinkles, more wrinkles, and wrinkles that surface much earlier than people who do not golf. Golf is a sport that is only played outdoors, and there is no other option other than the best spf lotion to protect the skin from the sun and wrinkles.

If you golf, you must keep this in mind. Apply sunblock before, during, and after your round. Use a moisturizer in order to supplement the effect of the sunblock. You can never pay too much attention to your skin, and if you are a golfer, you must be cognizant of the fact that the sun has a large role in how your skin will react to wrinkles.

So, if you golf, be aware of the potential long term affects of the sun. I will continue to golf, it's a passion I've had since I was a young girl. However, the risk of wrinkles prematurely surfacing on my skin has me very nervous of the sun and has me playing a large role in wrinkle prevention tactics.

Even the best wrinkle cream won't protect you from the sun. Use sunblock!
