Gluten intolerance can cause celiac disease. For such people, following a diet made up of gluten free foods is a must. Given below is a list of foods which are gluten free and suitable for those who are intolerant of gluten.
So, what exactly is gluten and gluten intolerance? Gluten is a protein part which is found in barley, wheat, rye and some other grains. When gluten comes in contact with the small intestine, the body mechanism of some people is unable to tolerate it, and this condition is known as celiac disease or gluten sensitive enteropathy. This condition is genetically determined, which means that if a person or his/her relatives have a certain gene, then it is possible that the person will develop the condition of gluten intolerance some time in his/her life, and hence will need to follow a gluten free foods diet.

People suffering from celiac disease will develop a reaction to gluten and eventually suffer from conditions like weight loss, diarrhea, bloating, stomach cramps and some vitamin and mineral deficiencies. A known fact about this condition is that it is one of the most common, undiagnosed, serious intestinal condition.
