Glass Slipper and the Prince - Chapter Three

Grace talks to Darren. He has a proposal for her.......with a ring?
"Grace?"
"I think she's in shock".
"Of course she's in shock! There are a hundreds of paparazzi outside!"
"I know that! Come on, Grace".
"Say anything!"
I lick my lips before answering in a quiet but threatening voice. "I'm going to kill Darren McCoy".

Feeling like myself again, I stood, slowly then pace back and forward.
"How could he do this to me? One date! One stinking, loser-ish date and now I'm proclaim his girlfriend!"
"On the bright side, people will be sucking up to you" Elle offered.
"I don't want people sucking up to me! I don't even want their attention!" I cried.
I let out a sigh. Then took a deep breath. "Get out".
"What?" Robin said.
"Get out, I'm going to change" I said, shooing them out.
Elle stood outside my door, frowning. "Are you sure?"
I look into her eyes and nodded. "I'm sure, though it's not a good idea but I think he might help".

"What if he doesn't?" Elle challenge.
I gave her a half-smile. "If he doesn't, then you can do what you want with him".
Elle shrug as she turn and left down the stairs.
I quickly threw off my clothes and change into a shirt and some jeans. I brush my hair into a ponytail. I heard the door bell then the door opening. Hopefully, its Robin opening the door. Elle might threaten him, though I don't mind.
"Welcome to hell, you man-whore jerk!" Elle said, cheery.

I smiled. That's quite a name for him. I wish I was there to see the look on his face. It could be worth it.
When I got downstairs, Darren stood on the door mat still. I hop down the last step, stopping. I tilt my head.
"Standing near the door for a quick escape, very clever" I said as I came into view of him. He look at me, flashing his white teeth at me and I assume is his 100 watt smile that he gave to those camera outside.
"Grace, I'm glad you decided to see me" he said, in that tone that I grown to hate.
"Let's get straight to the point" I said. "I want those people that are standing on my lawn, gone!"

Darren nodded. "I know. Trust me whe-"
"How can I trust you?" I snap. "I'm on the cover of a magazine!"
"Make that twelve" he said.
I took a threatening step toward him. "Is that supposed to make me feel better because it's not working!" I nearly screamed at him.
Darren smiled again and my annoyance went up a scale.
"I want them gone. And I want YOU gone" I said. "We're done talking".
I moved pass him and open the door. "Tell that to you're little friends outside".

Cameras flash as they got pictures of my home. Some ask questions, others demand it. Darren walk to me.
"Can't we talk about this?" he asks, sighing.
I shook my head. I was being difficult but I don't really give a rat's ass.
"Leave" I said.
He sighed again but as he stood in front of me, he lean in to whispered softly. "Sorry, but serves you right".
And just like that he kiss me. On the lips. The camera flash and I saw the next headline.
