Glace Palais
A poem to keep. To keep till spring ar leasr.
The sun sets low,
The ice shines bright,
But more will come tonight
The crystals stick
Building towers tall
So high it might fall
The turrets shine
The courtyard bare
Of merchants fare
Panes of windows
Paper thin
Against a mighty gale do win
So strong and proud
As snow begins to coat
The hardened frozen moat
As midnight passes all is still.
The air is filled with silence full
When suddenly it breaks
like the waves fore a ship's hull
A lute is played
Night comes to life
No more worries no more strife
But be aware
Wait not to long
For comes the sun so strong
The water drips
Down walls of ice
Sounds pitter like the feet of mice
The towers quake
And threat to crack
If not a cold wind holds them back
But today is the first day of spring
And all the life rejuvenates
And the world the cold does not berate
So till next cold spell
My castle a puddle lay
Mon pauvre glace palais
(My poor ice castle)
The ice shines bright,
But more will come tonight
The crystals stick
Building towers tall
So high it might fall
The turrets shine
The courtyard bare
Of merchants fare
Panes of windows
Paper thin
Against a mighty gale do win
So strong and proud
As snow begins to coat

As midnight passes all is still.
The air is filled with silence full
