There's an empty feeling inside me
I don't nowhere I'm going
I don't feel I need you
That scares me somewhat
For it feels I can't love
Like theirs no emotion in my heart

I sometimes feel that I"ll never know love
Like the way I feel rain
Or like the rays of the sun
I think I feel this way
I've been hurt before
And so these walls I have built
So as to stop a war

I feel alone standing here
But I"m happy for no high mountains I face
But it is an empty sort of happiness
One with no reward
For I've known treacherous mountains
And low sinking valleys
I'm on a plateau some people pray for

I say give me floods!
Give me bug infested crops
I want to climb those mountains
Earn happiness. Reach the top
I'll run it all!
Give me back my soul.
