Giuliana DePandi & Bill Rancic Engaged

Rancic, 35, popped the big question Friday night during a helicopter tour over Chicago, his hometown. DePandi, 31, said yes. She said, "When Bill pulled out the ring I don’t know what made me more speechless – the fact that he was asking me to marry him or the ring! It was the most beautiful diamond I have ever seen. The ring is stunning. It’s so sparkly, it’s amazing." She went on to say it was "the most amazing moment of my entire life. Not only is Bill the love of my life, but he’s also my best friend."

Rancic and DePandi first met when she interviewed him over two years ago after he won the first season of Donald Trump’s reality series The Apprentice. Their paths continued to cross at different events, but 10 months ago DePandi interviewed Rancic at a Boys & Girls Club in Santa Monica. She asked him on camera if he was dating anyone and he said no. Once the cameras were turned off Rancic asked DePandi out on a date and the two have been dating ever since.

DePandi became an E! News correspondent in 2002 and has been an anchor and managing editor since January 2005. Rancic won season one of The Apprentice in 2004 and still consults with The Trump Organization. He has made numerous appearances on subsequent seasons of The Apprentice. Both have also authored books. DePandi wrote a relationship advice book Think Like a Guy: How to Get a Guy by Thinking Like One and Rancic has two books under his belt, You’re Hired: How To Succeed in Business and Life from the Winner of The Apprentice and Beyond the Lemonade Stand. Rancic also founded a company called cigarsaroundtheworld.com. The two plan to wed in the south of Italy, where DePandi grew up, in late 2007.
