Gifted - Chapter 3
Sorry it took so long guys....here is the next chapter....
Over the next few years, I had to be on the run. My parents had already split apart and now I ran away all because of my stupid powers. I learned more of my powers and how I could do other things as well, not just see spirits and ghosts. So you say this power of mine is still so awesome and I have a perfect life right? From then on, kids and teens thought I was weird and creepy, while adults wanted to use me as an item. Polices wanted me to help them track down missing people, while doctors wanted me to help cure dieses. Scientist wanted to test me and try to extract my power from me. They even tried to use logic on this… Even gangs and criminals wanted me. I can’t tell you how many times I was captured by both good and evil people. But I think they are all evil if they just want to use me. I was basically an item that people want to use, for the good or for the evil. Then I knew that I could never be a normal teen again, ever.
Now I am seventeen and I am no where near a city or a town, more near a deserted area with trees and more trees for miles away. I always felt so isolated and lonely. I took the time to practice more of my powers until one day a group of kids around my age found me by the water side. They told me about how they heard about me and how long it took for them to find me. It was weird because I wasn’t alone with the whole gifted thing. They told me stories and more information about my powers. One of the few other kids where Jack a tall skinny boy with dark brown hair. His eyes were coal black and he was tanned. He had the power to go through things and control objects with his mind. There was Krystal who had brown eyes and short dirty blonde hair.
She was around my height, average and she had beige skin colour. There are Ailyn and Taryn who are both twins. They have medium length black hair and brown eyes just like me, except I have redish highlights on mine. They have the power of invisibility and mind reading. There is Justin, who is brunette and he is pretty muscular. He has the power to control minds and fly…well sort of fly anyways. Jake is also brunette, but he has brown eyes. He is averaged height and he has the power to control water. And then there is Madison who is around seven and has the power to talk to animals. She has black hair and bright blue eyes that shimmer like water.
Anyways, they where the best friends I could ever have and over the next year we became more and more powerful and our friendship grew stronger. There might have even been some love relationships between a few people, but never did I have any interest in the guys. No one really found us, but then Jake and Krystal betrayed us. They went for a walk one day and just disappeared. Disappeared to where, of we had no clue, but a month later we found out.
They joined what we heard was Kyle’s little group that’s not his gang as before nor was it his parent’s little science group. Oh no it was a group that wanted to take out powers away and harvest them for their own. The kind of group that wanted to extract the powers from us kids. Little did we all know that Kyle was also gifted himself, but no one really knew about that.
How we found out about all this was partly whispers around towns we travel by. We tried to keep quiet, but that went pretty much down hill one dark night when we were traveling by the dark road. It was me, Jack and Ailyn that got captured, while the others escaped. We had no idea what we were in for because it happened all too fast. Now we are stuck in what I call retarded cells. I seen more then just us, I never knew that there was that much gifted kids, but I guess there where…One by one, every kid disappeared through the door that said ‘Testing and extracting’. Then one day I heard the keys rustle and a tall girl open the door with Kyle behind her. I knew that Jack and Ailyn was safe still, they where still a few cells down, so they won’t be taken too soon. I knew I had to buy time…
I felt two rough hands grabbing my arms tight as they dragged me towards the door. I saw Jack and Ailyn by the corner of my eyes and sighed softly. They yelled and screamed, but nothing worked to stop them from pushing me through that door…
