Getting Through Ch.2

I woke up around 5:30 am trying not to wake up Dinky.
"Well good morning to you too sunshine.." Dinky mumbled to me in a tired but happy tone. Darn it I didn’t want her to worry about me like this.

"Morning Dinky, Go back to sleep." I said smiling.
"Excuse me? Do you know what time it is?"
"Uhh.. 5:34am" I said matter-of-factly looking at my phone.
"Well hello!" She said pointing to her hair and sweeping her hand around her face.
"What happened to 6?" I said remembering all the times that I spent the night over here.
"Things change." she said rubbing her eyes.
"Then what are you waiting for?!" I said grabbing her hand and pushed her into the living room bathroom after turning on Shut up and Let me go by The Ting Tings on her iHome. (Our daily routine when i stay).

It only took about 34 mins for us to get ready since we helped each other.

"See you in..20!" I said looking at the nearest clock going to the door.
"Okay love see ya!" she shouted back.

It only took me 3 mins max. to go back to my house. But once again I see Jake crossing Mrs. Anderson's yard to get to his house. Somebody ran away. He stopped when he noticed me but I kept walking not want to talk to him. I guess he got the memo because he started walking in a slow pace.

I reached my side of the house and got the ladder from the backyard. I put it under my window and began climbing. At the middle of climbing I felt eyes on me. I noticed that Jake didn’t pass by yet so it had to be him. I looked behind me and there he was. Why can’t he just leave me alone. I’ve done nothing to hi-

"Please be careful" he said loud enough for me to hear but soft enough so my 'family' wouldn’t wake up.

"Why do you care?" I asked him at the same tone.

"Just do what you have been told." he said .
"Whatever" I said loud enough for him to hear.

I finally reached the top and climbed in my window. I looked back down to move the ladder but Jake beat me to it. Why in the world is he doing this. I mean I would do it for him too but that’s just because i really do care for him and I’m too nice of a person in the first place.

"Thanks .. Jake" I said to him.
He waved and went on to his house. Which was only 2 doors down on my right.

I admit.. I do still have feelings for him. I still love him. Of course not deeply 'You’re the one I to spend the rest of my life with' love but the best guy friend love I guess.

I turned on the shower and let it go since I already took one at Dinkys so I had to pretend i did. After 5 mins of thinking about Jake and our .. well whatever you want to call it I turned off the shower and put some of my eyeshadow and mascara and all the other good stuff on that Dinky gave me. We each got a share of discounted make up since we both work at Sephora but I forgot mine at work one day so she kept it for me.

I put on a blue and grey springish shirt on with a denim jacket over it with some faded ripped skinnys and grey baby doll shoes then went down stairs. Everyone was already down there laughing having a good time that they didn’t even notice me walk in.

"Good morning." I said smiling so I wouldn’t get slapped for something petty again.

"Morning" they all grumbled then went on to what they were talking about. I grabbed my bacon and bread and made a sandwich then went to the fridge to get an apple juice. Hannah was throwing her food away when I grabbed my bookbag then we were both heading for the door.

"Bye mom and dad!" we both shouted.
"Have a nice day at school Hannah!" Mom shouted.
"Beat that record" Dad shouted also but i could feel him grinning. Me and Hannah both did track but they only payed attention to her because field events don’t mean anything to them. I only did Pole Vault. While she did relays and hurdles.

I never got a goodbye so I just went out of the door heading to Dinkys.

24 mins later-------------------------------------------------
I was at my locker about to close it I felt someone starring at me. No one is around me so I maybe I’m just paranoid. But I was wrong I shut my locker and behind it was Jake.

Things just keep getting weirder and weirder.

"I need to talk with you" he said in a soft tone.

"Well that make two." I said rolling my eyes.
But the bell rang before he could respond. Save by the bell! I smiled to myself as I walked off to my first class.

"Meet me at your locker at lunch!" Jake shouted.

"Sure sure." I said loud enough for him to hear me.
