- Take lemon juice - 2 tbsp, and take equal amount of ginger, and mix the two. Gently apply this to your scalp and leave it on for an overnight, if possible. If not that, at least leave it on for a minimum of 6 hours. Wash your hair the next morning. Grind Tulsi (Basil) leaves and apply them to your scalp for the same duration (as mentioned in the earlier point), overnight.
- Another thing you can do is grind leaves of guava into a fine paste along with turmeric powder. Leave it on overnight and then shampoo it off the next morning.
- Take neem seeds and grind them with water in a fine paste. Now spread the paste properly on your hair and wash this after 6 hours using a decoction of neem leaves. Let a week go and repeat the procedure.
- Make a mixture of lemon and garlic juice and massage your hair roots with that. It can be really effective because of the anti-bacterial properties of ginger and acidic properties of lemon.
- A paste of bitter almonds applied to your hair roots is also one of the proven remedies for getting rid of head lice.
