Get Out of Your Parkour Slump
Too many of those new at parkour people out there could remember how completely fun being a young person was.
Perhaps they recollect playing games with your big group of friends as being one of the superior ways to totally have tons of enjoyment. I know it's definitely a true thing when I say it, so I wonder about other people that want to learn parkour. I think it would be a great way to add a lot spice to your parkour training by involving some of these same elements.
A while back I was in a big slump during my regular parkour training. I discovered that even though I still had a lot of fun doing my parkour I didn't feel like my progress was anywhere near where it could be. It was actually very boring and becoming dull. I was positive that I wasn't the only one this was happening too though, at least at some point I'm sure everyone probably goes through something along the same lines to this same thing. I kept looking everywhere, reading and the Internet and found a drill that looked like a challenge. I started thinking about other ways to make my training more challenging, and my regime less difficult and just overall higher quality.
Identical to when you have a teacher at your school who is entertaining but they also are superb at actually teaching you, I desired this to be the same thing I had working for my parkour training. After implementing those elementary rules my training instantly became more exciting, and it was like I was back in the days of playing with my buddies once more. You need to learn how to mix up the good things and the hard parts to make a good mixture of learning but also having fun. This will keep you going longer and you will totally get more out of it at the end of the day.
You don't want to get burnt out on your parkour training because even though you might have been pushing your training to the limits, if it doesn't last long completely you are only hurting yourself in the long run. Keep these thoughts in mind as you train and keep creating new and exciting levels of training to your plan so you will keep being able to improve your skills and become a better parkour skilled person ultimately.
