Get And Stay Out Of Your Comfort Zone

What's the secret? What's the first thing a successful person needs to do - have you ever asked yourself this? Well, one very successful and learned leader told me this and I just had to share it.
Get And Stay Out Of Your Comfort Zone
Successful people are always intriguing…simply because they’ve achieved such astronomical success that people turn around just because their names are mentioned. Stashed cash aside, we’re all interested to find out why and how they did what they did, when they did it and most importantly….was there, dear Lord, a magical formula that we can absolutely use so that we can cut through the most decidedly tough and windy road to the top.

That’s how, wouldn’t you agree with me, biographies, autobiographies and how-to books sell so well! Loads of people just make special trips to the book shop just to grab the latest book published by successful people so that we can bounce on their ball because their balls work…and ours don’t.

Come to think of it, what do you think these successful people will say when you ask them, "What’s your secret?"

The answer is always the same, "There’s really no secret. I want to thank my mother, my father, my kids, my wonderful staff and Bernie, my pet dog who gave me inspirational sniffs when I was utterly down and out and thought the world had stopped spinning. I want to also give extended thanks to the readers and people who bought my products because it made be insanely and obscenely rich".

And when we’re done with the book, we discover that there’s really no secret because the secret to these successful people’s success is the same. Hard work, knowledge, support, blah blah blah blah blah blah. One final ingredient that they sometimes omit to mention is this…themselves. Yes, they made it because they dared to step out of their comfort zone and fight an extremely difficult, tedious, exhausting and some depressing battle against the rest of the world.

Listen, there’s absolutely no way someone’s going to succeed doing what everyone else is doing because that would be normal. Why would doing something ‘normal’ help YOU become super-normal? The only thing you’re going to be if you try to be ordinary is….ordinary.

I know it’s difficult because swimming against the tide isn’t for everyone but the only way to be great is to….step out of your comfort zone. Yes, step out of it and stay out! The comfort zone is like this large comfortable fuzzy duvet that you hide under in the morning when you just can’t peel your eyelids open. It’s the cloud of placate that envelopes you and keeps you safe and warm.

Well, you know what? If you want to be great, you need to feed the duvet to that pet dog Bernie….with an extra bowl of milk, I’m sure.
