Fernbank’s Museum of Natural History of Georgia has always been one of the great places of interest for the tourists visiting Georgia every year. The exhibition of "A walk through time in Georgia" has become the signature display of Fernbanks’ museum. The exhibition is aimed at capturing the real insight of Georgia’s natural history in most realistic way using series of dioramas. Your fascinating tour of Fernbank’s museum starts with the Piedmont and leaves you enlightened about the habitat of all living species located in Georgia when you end it at Coast and Barrier Islands.

Throughout your journey, there will be galleries and theaters that will help you to explore the sequential earth development. From the mammoth dinosaurs from Ruling Gallery of Dinosaurs to the deep down immersed peak beneath ocean in Gray’s Reef, you are about to witness every amazing fact related to Georgia natural history.

While the foot of the mountains depicts the granite projection creation during its springtime in diorama of Piedmont, the diorama of Appalachian Mountains showcases this scenic mountain viewpoint along with Brasstown Bald, the highest peak in Georgia. Explore the fossils found in rocks of this recreated summer depiction in your journey through Ridge and valley that was once covered by a shallow sea.

Your journey is incomplete without visiting the gallery of "The Ruling Dinosaurs" that brings the memoirs of Triassic, Cretaceous and Jurassic eras.
