George Clooney Denies Engagement

It has been reported that Clooney and Larson are planning to marry this summer at his villa in Lake Como, Italy. A waiter at a restaurant near Lake Como said, "They haven’t made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me. They say the couple are already engaged." Clooney denied the rumors via a statement released through his publicist that read, "These reports are not true."

Clooney, 46, has been dating the 28-year old former Fear Factor winner for almost a year now. The couple began seeing each other last June. Larson is a former part-time model and a cocktail waitress at the Las Vegas Palms Casino Resort. Last month, Clooney brought Larson to the Academy Awards leading many to speculate about the status of their relationship since it is typical for him to not bring girlfriends to events like that,

Clooney was married once to actress Talia Balsam. The couple was married in 1989 and divorced four years later. Clooney said shortly after his divorce that he would never marry again. He reportedly said recently, "I said those things in 1993 and it has kind of stuck with me ever since. The truth is that it’s not a consideration." Clooney has said that he is happy and not interested in getting married again.
