It is a very well known fact that people suffering from genital warts will not go advertising about it. Even to there own sexual partners this becomes a secret and as a result, they are left suffering in silence.Definitely this is not the way forward due to the highly contagious nature of the genital warts disease.

As a well known STD or Sexually Transmitted Disease, genital warts can be sometimes embarrassing to talk about therefore causing a lot of pain either physically, emotionally or mentally to the victim. The warts may be flat or raised, small or large, and there may be one or many. They may have a cauliflower-like appearance. Genital warts are usually painless, but sometimes can cause pain, itching or bleeding.

Treatment methods for genital Warts can be in several ways. Chemical treatments such as trichloracetic acid (TEA), podophyllin and podofilox are liquids applied on the surface of the warts. Cryotherapy, or freezing the infected skin, is another common treatment. Electrocautery (destroying the infected tissue with electrical current) is another option. Laser therapy or surgery may be used to treat more extensive or complicated cases. Treatment can be frustrating because of the long incubation period of HPV. It is common to need more than one treatment to clear up genital warts and it is common for the warts to recur after treatment

The discovery of genital warts infection can be devastating and shocking and this can cause one to seek over the counter medication. This is not however advised because most of this medication can only be applied by trained medical personnel. Main reason fro this is that the ingredients’ used in these medicines is too strong to be used on these sensitive genital areas.

Other than that, we have other methods available too which are natural remedies.
This could be use of herbs, or home remedies like garlic, Apple juice, squeezed onion juice which can help ease the pain and discomfort.

Detection of genital warts can sometimes be hard to identify since the incubation period of the HPV could be anything form a few weeks to a few years depending on the immune system of each individual.
