Genital Warts and Cancer

Genital warts and the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) can be very confusing topics. This article explains how these are linked, as well as their link to cancer.
The society in which we live in is driven by sexual innuendos and the promotion of sexual activities comes at a premium through various media sources, making the need to learn as much as possible about sexual transmitted diseases, just as much a premium.

Genital warts are alive and running wild in America and all over the world because of the way people are so sexually active without reservations or restrictions. The numbers are growing exponentially on account of the contagiousness of the disease.

We all know one thing for certain; the disease is primarily transmitted through sexual interaction in any way, shape or form. There are other ways to transport the disease but sexual interaction trumps any other way by large measures. Genital warts are very serious and it has no restrictions when it comes down to infecting anything and anyone in its sites. Some women bring infected children into this world because of expected mothers being infected during the course of impregnation.

Human Papilloma Virus
A causative agent by the name of Human Papilloma Virus is responsible for the insurgence of genital warts, and there are a number of strains in circulation that can seriously affect the genitalia area. The HPV-6 and 11 are the most significant strains of them all but they cannot be the cause of cancer. However, HPV types 16, 18, 31, 33 and 35 are considered to be the culprits behind the early stages of cancerous activities of the penis and vulva carcinoma as well as other complications of the genitalia area.

The Links
Everyone's immune system is designed to fight off infections that are not allowed in our bodies. If your immune system is not capable of eradicating the disease, then it will find a resting place somewhere within our body and will linger around until the defense system clocked into our bodies surrenders, making it possible for viruses like HPVs attack our cells and converts them to cancer cells.

HPV and Cancer
Cancer is a serious and dangerous disease and should not be taken likely. If your body becomes a victim of cancerous cells they can get out of control on account of being greedy for reproduction and growth. And once HPV becomes integrated into our system and affects the DNA of cells, cancerous activity can become very difficult to get rid of.

When genital warts finds a place in our bodies, the first symptom that occurs will be itching and scratching in the genitalia area, you may even experience some levels of bleeding, pain and other discomforts. In the event these symptoms become obvious, you want to make certain what it is before any home remedy treatment is administered. Look for a surface that has been broken in the skin which will be filled with little red dots. However, if the broken surface has abnormal borders and a distinct colour, it's at a stage that a professional opinion has to be consulted.
