Geek's Verse: Ten Ravishing Web Site Redesigns of 2008 - Volume One
Note: These are the excerpts of an interview conducted with User interface Developer of Miracle Studios - Mr Harv - the remaining installments of this interview would be published on every weekends.

All our blog readers must be wondering that "hasn't this blog-post arrived so early, since we still have two months to go for this year to end". Yes, I feel I am too early, but frankly speaking I could not control myself, as most of "big guns" from the likes of Twitter, Myspace, Yahoo and Facebook have been witnessing revolutionary changes on their homepages in last few months. Therefore I felt that this is the best time to discuss it with our blog readers.

In this edition I will be picking up ten of my favorite web designing makeovers on Internet. Also I would be discussing the pro's and con's that might arise due to them.

Number One: Myspace sacrificed it's pretty-rushed up homepage as it took a fairly relaxed and less-congested space....

Emotions: "I am taking a sigh of relief -"

In the June month of this year New Corp's Myspace revamped its homepage in order to create a congenial "adobe to network" for its users: which would engage the visitors. For instance, Myspace profile editing has been modified, to make it an easy to manage entity for the people who do not have any expertise in HTML. Myspace's Videos has also been fueled with powerful feature of playing the HDV (high definition videos), which makes it the directly place it in to the category of Youtube (on the quality front). Also the search functionality of Myspace has also been given a "new lease of life" by Lecune (open source search project).

Number Two: Facebook took a drastic change

On the new homepage of Facebook any user can instantly log in to his account and start chatting with his friends on the word go. Further, it has become a lot more easier to publish the content. Since all the requisite tags like "Add Videos", "Submit your picture" etc. are tucked on the right place that is the homepage.

Emotions: "Saves a lot of time and getting in to action is much faster then any other website."

Apart from being user-friendly , the Facebook is also luring its users with a powerful functionality which enables them to modify the location various components of Facebook like "they can drag the navigation bar to left or the content submission bar to the right.. etc".

Number Three: Delcious made its interface more responsive and scalable......

Delcious scrapped its old name, which was very hard to remember. The website also witnessed complete overhaul of its search engine, thereby making it much easier to cruise through the sea of stories, old users and virtual tags.

Number Four : Miracle Studios official website unraveled its new avatar in the contemporary "Matte Painting Style"

Yes, this time they have played a bit with "digital matte painting style". They have tried to conjure a wonderful ancient era dotted around with forts, the gurgling sounds of a gushing spring flowing nearby. And a fairy (the epitome of creativity) flashing an imaginary world with a subtle swing of her miraculous "magic wand".

Concept: "We "Miraclites" believe that we are gifted with that "magic wand", which can spring the waves of creativity on internet. The fantasy laded figure of creativity - "fairy", is always be there to bestow her miraculous powers on us."

Flying Comments from the Director: "Our last website received a warm reception from the "connoisseurs of art". So, this time we were hungry for doing something extra ordinary. May be that's what prompted us to try our hands at unleashing "Matte Painting Style" on our new website design," said Mr Raj Arora, Director, Miracle Studios.

Number Five:When I am looking for news on internet I routinely stall on to the homepage of BBC. The earlier website of BBC was fairly "content" based, it wasn’t tastefully designed. There was hardly any "creative" element there.

In August this year…

Finally they have got a new homepage that’s not only modern, but also user-friendly. You can flawlessly drag the elements and customize them to your personal taste. You can also change the color scheme with a simple click.

Emotions : Overall it was a great reincarnation for BBC on the virtual adobe of Internet - the website is confidently flaunting its "advanced" look very well.
