Garth Brooks divorced his wife nearly 10 years ago and then started dating Trisha Yearwood, whom he eventually married in 2005 and settled down with. In October 2000, Brooks announced his retirement and that he would not record and perform anymore. He did this to avoid clashes between his personal and professional life schedule. But his fans will be happy since he is scheduled to have 4 performances on weekends this year on the Las Vegas Strip . He will perform once on a Friday, twice on a Saturday, and once again on a Sunday. This arrangement will allow him to spend most of the week with his family, something that he has always cherished. He has been given access to a private jet that will allow him to travel fast between his home in Oklahoma and his performances in Las Vegas.
