This is a sixth generation video game console. It was produced by Microsoft Corporation and released on November 15, 2001 in North America. Microsoft ventured into the gaming console market for the first time with this game. This had competitor's like Nintendo GameCube and Sony's PlayStation 2. It was a forerunner to Microsoft's Xbox 360 console.

Xbox 360

This is a seventh generation video game console. It was produced by Microsoft Corporation in collaboration with IBM, ATI and SiS. This had competitor's like Nintendo's Wii and Sony's PlayStation 3. This was released on November 22, 2005 in the United States. This is available in three versions. The Xbox 360 Arcade replaced Xbox 360 Core. It has a wireless controller, 256 MB memory unit, HDMI 1.2 output, composite AV cable and 5 Xbox Live Arcade titles. The five titles are Feeding frenzy, Boom boom rocket, Pac-Man Championship edition, Luxor 2 and UNO. These are bundled in a single disk. The Xbox 360 or Premium or Pro has all the characteristics of the Xbox 360 Core, a hybrid composite and component cable with optional optical cut rather than a composite cable. It also has a detachable 20 GB hard disk drive. This is used to store games, demos, Live marketplace TV and movies. In July 2007, this version appeared with the Zephyr motherboard. This had HDMI 1.2 output and an improved GPU heatsink. In September, the latest systems had 65-nm CPUs and were more quiet and cool than earlier ones. The Xbox Elite is the costliest variation of this console. This system had a HDMI 1.2 cable, a controller and headset.
