Redness and swelling in and around the areas where the surgeries have been performed, can be another of the possible side effects after gallbladder surgery has been performed. Swelling may last for a few days to even a few weeks.

Excessive Weight Gain
Many people who had earlier faced the problems of slow metabolism, may show erratic increase in the weight, that is usually accompanied by fatigue and sluggishness. The person may feel a loss of energy and weakness, despite the apparent weight gain.

Going for a gallbladder surgery is totally the choice of an individual. It may be that your doctor has convinced you and you are confident of his assurances. In any case however, first collect as much information as you can and understand the surgery and its aftermath.
