Future Memories

It's true, life's long celebrations,
Enchant me with the summer rain,
To melt within the flowery petals,
Resounding in my memories.

The breathless wind of twilight's call,
Did lightly kiss me on the brow,
I walked alone as night grew pale,
Within the setting sun's long shadow.

An Angel did appear from nowhere,
She shone of light and beauty bold,
She held me with her perfect rapture,
And shared the ecstasy of her soul.

She called my name upon the breeze,
For me to follow in her footsteps,
This lady of the forest green,
Did lure me to her heaving breast.

Upon her breath the sweetest kiss,
Did wind its way into my heart,
And my soul did fly away with hers,
Beyond the realms of the stars.

This Goddess showed me cosmic truth,
And the immortality of true love,
She let me wander through her mind,
And the golden wonder of her thoughts.

I heard the echo of her heartbeat,
So pure of life with its perfect pulse,
It played to me her perfect melody,
And sang her words of perfect prose.

Alas, her time came to return,
Back to the realm from whence she'd come,
She left me with the solemn promise,
That one day she'd come back to me.

I'd seen through her eyes of deepest blue,
The unheard words of a love to come,
To implant my future memories,
And forevermore I'll await her return.
