As soon as the king stepped back and turned, so did all of us.
It wasn't as painful this time, and I only heard a faint voice.
I opened my eyes, and watched everybody else do the same. The king looked at Chad and they both nodded.
Chad's voice appeared in my head.
"Go for the jugular. Stay close to me, and kill everybody on the opposite side." telepathy. A wonderful thing.
I nodded, still in my wolf state, and tried to smile. Apparently it went well, as Chad smiled back.
A very toothy grin. After the wars over, I'll have to practice in my bathroom mirror.
The king roared a deafening cry, and all of us joined in.
as soon as the enemy charged, so did we.
Chad led me into the sidelines of the battle,
I discarded this, and charged into the middle of the action.
Chad's voice appeared in my head as soon as I left him
"Ella, wait! No! Ella what the hell are you doing?!" he yelled in my head, but his volume was nothing to the roars and yelps of the warriors fighting beside me.
"Well well well, my little granddaughter. All fully grown and turned." said a voice in my head. I winced because it was so sharp.
I turned around, blood staining my fur and teeth. So far I had fatally wounded 5 werewolves, and killed 10. I was going good, and my father's warrior blood was running thickly through my newly werewolf veins as I looked at him defiantly in the eye, he took a step or two backwards.
"I knew you were a Costello as soon as I saw you. You have the costello blood running through you.
Now more than ever. Your fur is of the same shade as your father's, mine, and my father, and his.
But your eyes... your eyes are every inch the same as your mother's. She was a beautiful werewolf.
And you are lucky to have hers, and the Costello blood in you. Won't you join our side?
Your families side? We are blood. You cannot kill your own family." he said to me.
I saw red. I was no longer aware of the battle going on around me, but only of the self-serving man who stood before me.
"These brave warriors are my family now. You destroyed any claim to be my relative when you brutally murdered my family"
I said, I took a step forward, he took one back, I carried on advancing, and he was retreating.
"And now, to avenge my mother, and father, and all of my new family, I will kill you." I said still advancing.
He looked worried, and carried on taking steps back, until Chad was behind him.
Teeth bared.
"You hurt my mate. Emotionally, and almost physically."
now he looked like he was peeing himself he was so scared.
A leader of an army, and scared of me!
He backed away from Chad, but came closer to me. Soon me and Chad had him trapped.
He should have been pleading for my forgiveness, and for forgiveness from alpha.
but instead, he grinned. A sick, evil twisted grin.
It churned my insides, and even before it came, I knew what was happening.
A sharp pain went shooting through my neck, and down into my heart, and up into my brain,
shooting stars went in front of my eyes, and I was human again.
I had been bitten.
I wobbled, and fell on the floor. My only senses were my hearing and my sight.
But they were impaired.
everything I could see was blurry, and the noises were deafening, but muted.
And white noise... it was horrible.
A deafening roar was heard, and blood sprayed over me, making me more bloody than I already was, if that was possible.
Chad turned human, and bent down at my side, "ella... Ella. Hear me?" he asked, he was crying.
"Don't cry! I'm going to be with alpha! It's a happy day! It's our wedding day!" I said, trying to stop him from crying, but I was already growing weak.
"No! No no no no no! Please don't die! Please! I can't live without you! You know that, and I love you so much!" he cried.
"and you know I love you too. But its my time to go now. But alpha says I'll be back! Just keep your eyes and ears open, and don't close your heart." I whispered. He clasped my hand, and his tears were washing away the blood.
alpha was already drawing me in, but there was so much I still needed to say!
All my friends were gathered around me, and I sent last-minute messages to them all, by telepathy.
Telling them to look after Chad, stay with each other, and don't get hurt!

Well. Now I know why. And soon will all of you.
My body stayed put, but my soul floated, and if I had one left, it would have broken my heart, to see Chad, and all my friends, my new family; the king and queen, howl over my corpse. But there was nothing I could do now. My soul was with alpha. And I was at peace at last.
