Ella's P.O.V
I walked through the shiny glass doors, the light bouncing off them and into my eyes.
I walked up to the desk... my hands shaking.
The nurse smiled up at me and said "hello dear! Can I help you?" my mouth opened and closed like a goldfish... but no sound came out.
"She's here to see miss Kate Dean." Chad spoke up. His voice soothed my and I felt my body relax.
The nurse nodded kindly. "she's in room 230. right down the hall. You can't miss it dearie! Have a good day!"
Chad smiled and backed away. His hand was in the small of my back, guiding me to the room the nurse told us about.
We got to the door and I looked in. I saw Kate. She looked pale. And really frail.
Chad was watching me with a worried expression.

"Ella. You don't have to do this. If you're not ready.."
he trailed off when I shook my head firmly and said hoarsely
"No Chad. I want to see her before I meet your parents."
"Why?" he asked. I sighed. He should understand.
"Because if she was here, she would have helped me get ready...
and given me pep talks. And all the things she did for the other boyfriends.
And now I have a boyfriend who I actually love... and she wasn't there to help me!
So I need to talk to her. Can you find a doctor and send him here please?" I asked.
He frowned. The creases of his forehead creasing.
"Why do you need a doctor?" he asked.
I sighed yet again. He's never normally like this! Normally he understands!
"So I can know her injuries. Why are you being this way? Normally you understand!" I said frustrated
"I'm sorry Ella.

My brain is just fried trying to figure out what I'm going to do.!
What will happen when I present Matt to my father.
If my mother will like you... which I know she will!
And whether my father will approve of you. Which I am sure he will!" he said.
I frowned.
"But if what Matt/matteo and yourself said the truth. I am the king's - your father's - best friend's daughter... he should approve.
And don't worry about Matt. Your father will sort it! Now go get me a doctor."
I ordered and pushed him down the corridor playfully.
He stuck his tongue out at me and I giggled. He was such a dork and I loved him for it.
I opened the door slowly.

Chad's P.O.V

I loved the way she laughed. I watched her go into Kate's room.
Then I went in search of the doctor.
In every hospital they have at least 1 doctor as a werewolf.
Just In case one of us gets injured in front of the humans and we have to be sent into hospital.
This doctor is called Alec Brayner. His cover name is Alex Bray.
I went to the friendly nurse at the front desk
"Well hello there chickie! Back again?" she couldn't be more than 30.
she had a lovely feel about her that made you want to tell her everything.
Like you could trust her.
"Yes... I was looking for a doctor Alex bray?" I asked.
"Well sure chickie! He's right over there at the candy machine. Good luck with your friend!"
she said cheerily and went back to her desk.

I took a deep breath and walked over to the doctor. He was bashing the candy machine.
"stupid machine. Eating my money. Not even giving me my twix."
I stifled a chuckle. I tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around quickly, his pupils dilated.
A sure sign that he was the werewolf here.
He searched my face and bowed his head as a sign of respect.
"Your highness. What a pleasure. May I ask what you are doing here at the hospital?"
his head still bowed and his eyes not meeting mine.
"Lift your head and meet my eyes Alec." his eyes slowly met mine and he lifted his head.
"I am here because of my mate." I said.
"Is she hurt? I will do everything in my power your highness..." he trailed of as I shook my head.
"No. it's not her.

My mate's best friend Kate Dean was admitted to this hospital the day before yesterday.
She was bitten by an insane werewolf and almost at death's door.
The werewolf was named Matteo. He was allegedly my father's son."
I paused and looked at Alec. His eyes were wide and his face was a picture of shock.
I could believe that he had nothing to do with this. I could believe that he didn't even know.
"Alec. I want you to save this girl. She is now one of us.
She was bitten by my brother. Who shares blood with me.
Now she shares blood with me. As of when she wakes up, she is the princess.
You will treat her carefully. When she is ready, send for me. I will come and collect her with my mate."

Alec nodded and said "it will be my honor to treat the princess sire."
I smiled and said graciously
"Alec.. when all this is over... and when I am king.
I want you to be the palace doctor, and treat me, the queen and our children."
Alec's face was one of pure joy. I walked away, but turned back and added -
"Oh... and Alec... my mate Ella wishes to speak with you about Kate's injuries.
Find the truth and hurry. You don't want to keep a girl like that waiting."
I then walked off and let Alec find out the injuries. Back to Ella!

Ella's P.O.V
Kate looked like hell.
Her hair was greasy, her face pale and her lips were dry.
All the same I was so glad she was alive....
I held her hand and spoke to her quietly about everything.
About the werewolves, and the history... the history Matt told me, and the history that Chad told me.
I told her about Chad being my mate...
and that I was going to meet his parents in a few hours.
The door opened and I looked behind me.
Chad! I was never so happy to see him
I gave him a weak smile and patted the seat next to me, he sat down and held my other hand.
"The doctor is coming." he said.
"The doctor's name is Alec Brayner. He is a werewolf." he said.
I wasn't surprised to be quite honest.

I nodded. I wasn't really in the mood for conversation now.
All I wanted to do was know what was wrong with her. Then I could get back to normal.
Chad seemed to sense my thoughts. Oh yeah. Mind reading.
"Honey... it will never be normal. You know what happens when a human is bitten or scratched by a werewolf." he said softly.
I closed my eyes and shook my head fiercely. She can't be a werewolf. She just can't,
"She won't be just any werewolf. She'll be the princess. And when you are queen... you two will be like sisters. Won't that be amazing?" he asked me earnestly.
"It would be quite nice... I would know someone there... someone who knows me for who I am and not who I will be." I said.
Chad nodded like he understood which I doubt he did.
The doctor walked in and sighed,
"Your highness.. the patient has severe casualties." I was tensed. But I wanted to hear this. Chad stroked my hand. It helped a lot.

"Miss Kate has a broken leg, a damaged spine, and she will be scarred. She will recover from those injuries because of her werewolf state, but the scars will stay for at least 100 years." he ringed off. My head was spinning,
"I'm sorry. I can make her comfortable, and when she is ready to travel you may pick her up. Your highness." he bowed and left.
The room was swimming.
I sat down and waited until the room stopped twirling.
I breathed in and out and smiled at Chad.
"I'm ready now." he smiled a smile of both relief and worry.
He took my hand and led me out of the hospital.
Now to meet the parents.
