Funny Things Kids Say

Kids will obviously act as kids! Kids can revive the child within us and make us laugh at the silliest of things! The best thing about being with kids is that they make adults feel like children all over again! And I must share one thing with you here, there are many funny things kids can say in the most inappropriate situations. Well, sometimes I wonder if kids are really innocent when I look at the merry twinkle in their eyes! That surely tells a different story. Have you ever been embarrassed to the core about these funny things kids can say at the weirdest of moments? Well, I would like to share my experiences with you.

The other day when I was out with a friend and her child at this swanky restaurant, Jane (the little girl) ordered an apple dessert, which was the most attractive dish of that particular restaurant. However, when she had a bite of the piece, she yelled loudly much to the embarrassment of the staff, "Mom, why does it look good but tastes like it’s made of rubber?" My friend was equally embarrassed however; the staff did give us a complimentary dish!

Here is another incident about a funny thing a kid can say! I was at a friend’s place for tea and her child, Mark, wanted her to get up. His mom replied, "I can’t do so now son, as my foot has fallen asleep." Innocent Mark then rushed and played a song and asked her, "Mom, will it wake up now?" Mark sure is a laugh riot of sorts!

The other day we all were having an interesting conversation over lunch and my friend who is an animal activist was speaking animatedly about this issue. As she sat arguing with another group member, her kid quipped in between saying, "Mom, humans should never be allowed to shoot extinct animals!" Oh boy! That was surely hilarious and the child did manage to turn the argument into a pleasant conversation.

Well, kids are surely a delight to have around the house as they present us with so many surprises and give us innumerable chances to laugh out loud! The funny things kids can say only helps me to realize the simplicity in their approach towards life. I think we have a lot to learn from them!
