Ingredients Required
  • Egg, 1
  • All-purpose flour, 1 ½ half cup
  • Milk, 2/3 cup
  • Salt, 2 tsp
  • Granulated sugar, 2 tsp
  • Powdered sugar, 2 tsp
  • Baking powder, 3/4th tsp
  • Vegetable oil
  • Large ladle
  • Metal tongs
  • Paper towels
  • Large mixing bowls
  • Medium-sized funnel
  • Wire Whisk
Preparation Method
  • First beat the egg with a wire whisk and then pour the desired quantity of milk into the container. Stir continuously and keep on whisking.
  • Now combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt and granulated sugar in the large mixing bowl.
  • Now slowly add the egg mixture to the flour mixture. Beat it continuously until the cake mix batter becomes smooth.
  • Now heat the vegetable oil in a deep bottomed skillet. Let the temperature stand to 375°F before pouring the batter.
  • Hold the funnel and block the hole below with your finger. Pour the batter with a ladle till the top of the funnel. Now remove your finger and pour the batter from the center of the oil.
  • Move the funnel from the center to outward in circular motions for getting different patterns.
  • Now turn the other side with a tong and fry it until golden brown.
  • Remove the cake from the oil with the help of a tong and place them in paper towels to drain off the extra oil.
  • Sprinkle the powdered sugar on the top and then serve it hot.
