Fun Things to do on a Date

A date is always a special occasion, no matter it is the 1st or the 500th. Planning it a little bit, sometimes, will sound good and interesting to anyone. Going out for a lunch/dinner or a movie is something that most of the couples do. Instead, why not do something that is romantic, exciting and new, and think about some fun things to do on a date.
Fun Things to do on a Date
Doing something fun on a date will not only let the couple have a good time together but also help them know each other better. There are a lot of fun things to do on a date that a couple can plan and do. A little planning can make your dating affair really fun. So, you can really enjoy, rather than going out for a boring lunch and gossiping about some boring unrelated friends.

Fun Things to do on a First Date
  • Play: It is your first date, then probably you don't know each other much. Why not make a questionnaire and ask each other questions? And of course every interesting and probably the true answer can be rewarded. Wot say?
  • Go Out: Discuss and figure out one common hobby that you both enjoy. It may be something like a water sport or trekking. Set a date and go out and enjoy and also talk in the process. Nothing's better than getting to know each other in a fun environment.
  • Dance: If you both love to dance, attend a dance demo class. Talk and laugh it off as you step on each other's foot. This is really a fun thing to do on a date.
Romantic Things to do on a Date
  • Holiday: Enjoy a day off with each other, doing nothing. Just sit with each other doing whatever interests you both. Like watch a favorite movie, cook together, play games like scrabble or simply clean up the house together (I know, dusting is probably not a great romantic date idea).
  • Cook it Up: Cook up his/her favorite meal and give a huge surprise by arranging a very formal meal with a formally set up table, including cutlery that you have long forgotten, exists in your closet.
  • Make it Special: Make your date day a special one, with loads of surprises. Like, early in the morning send your better half some fresh roses. Following up with messages here and there, regarding random things in life. They need not be romantic. Even if you will leave a note saying don't forget your wallet, along with a smiley, the other person is sure to feel loved and cared for. Keep messaging the whole day. Yes, this will be very romantic for the lady in your life, because guys rarely bother to message. It may be true the other way around also.
Cool Things to do on a Date
  • Fear Factor: Discuss and figure out one thing that you both have always wanted to do, but somehow could not muster up enough courage. Extreme sports may be one of them. Bungee jumping is something that everyone fantasizes about, only fantasizes. Boost each other up a little bit and make a plan to take that huge plunge, finally. You can also think about paragliding, whitewater rafting and even snorkeling (diving can be really adventurous for someone who is scared of water).
  • Social Service: Enroll together to a day of service at an old age home or a local library for a storytelling session for kids. Nothing is more satisfying than helping others, together. This way you will even get to know the sentimental side of each other. Many easy going couples will find this a very relaxing and best thing to do on a date.
  • Collect Memories: If you don't feel like going out, one cool thing to do back home will be making a collage of all your photographs. You can think up a theme, like divide the collage in sections according to the moods and paste pictures accordingly. This will not only refresh your memory of the good times that you have had together, but you will have one more wall hanging, for which the man of the house will pretend not having nails and the drilling machine (yes, all guys hate drilling the walls, their beloved walls). And hence, you can spend the rest of the day fighting, justifying how badly you want it on the wall, and he justifying how good that collage will look in the closet or on some already drilled nail, which is near the toilet ventilator.
There are really hundreds of fun things to do on a date and once you people start jelling really well, you don't even have to think for ideas. You just have to think about what you both will enjoy doing together. After all, the point of going on a date is spending a GOOD time together. Do whatever you feel will make you and your partner happy and just don't forget to take love along, wherever you go, whatever you do.
