Frost Bitten :-: One Shot :-:

Another sad story my Sissy wrote. I'm so proud of her. It's really sad. The other one will make you cry but, maybe... Also this one
Frost Bitten :-: One Shot :-:
You were laying down on the grass in a meadow, watching the stars, and enjoying the breeze of what was soon to be your last night. You close your eyes and wince slightly as the blade slides down your smooth pale skin. Feeling the relief it always brought, but this time you knew, it would bring more happiness then normal. Your friends, family, and even your drunk father, and depressed mother would be happy. This was the least you could do for them, their happiness would be your last wish. You told yourself not to cry, that there was no reason to cry. But deep down you knew, you would miss HIM. He wasn’t like your friends, they only hung out with you knowing you needed someone who pretended to care. No, he didn’t pretend, you could hear the sincerity in his voice. You could taste it every time he kissed you. When he hugged you, you could feel his love for you. You lay on the ground, heat leaving your body. Your vision leaving slowly, and tears now crawling down your cheeks. This was it, no turning back now, your only regret, not telling him how you felt.
"_____...What the... _______!"
‘I..can hear his voice, he’s calling my name in sadness.’
"____ can you hear me?"
"I...I’m sorry. You were... the only one... who... loved me..."
"_____! Why! Why did you do this?"
"Thank....you Ja-"
You couldn’t keep your eyes open anymore. You could feel him shaking you, calling your name over and over again. Calling out to you, trying to reach your soul, sadness dripping from his voice like venom.
Your eyes flutter open, you stare up and see his face looking at you with a smile.
"Well hello there Angel. Did you have a nice sleep?"
"Sleep? I was sleeping?" You immediately sit up.
"Yeah, I tried to wake you up, but you wouldn’t even give a twitch."
Your face turns red and he laughs at you.
"S-Sorry. Guess it was a deep sleep." You mumble.
"Aww, my little _____ is so cute when she blushes, and has bed head."
You playfully punch him on the arm and then lean against him, inhaling his scent.
"Jake... thank you..for always being there for me."
"What silly nonsense are you talking of now, ______? Even if you didn’t thank me, I would be happy always being here with you."
He kisses your cheek, and you kiss him back.
"______, I love you. I always have and I always will, please tell me you love me too.
Atleast whisper it, if your too embarrassed to say it loudly." "I.... l-love you, Jake." You whisper, crawling into his lap so you can hide your face in his chest.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, just had a weird dream."
He wraps his arms around you, and leaves a little peck atop your head.
~A Few Days Later~
Your laying on your bed thinking about the dream you had just days before, and how realistic it was to you.
"Ah...I wonder if he’d really be that sad if I killed myself."
You roll side to side hugging a pillow to your chest letting out a frustrated groan. "I really do love Jake. And he loves me... I wish he would just ask me to run away with him, that way everyone can be happy, including us without anyone dying." Your cell phone starts to ring, bringing you out of your thoughts.
"H-Hello?"
"Hello, excuse me for calling so late. Is this ______?"
"Yes, do you need something?"
"Miss _____, we have some bad news. We have Jake here in the hospital, he’s been caught in the middle of a robbery."
"Is he ok??" You start to franticly yell.
"I’m sorry...the bullet hit grazed his heart causing a hole to open in. He lost to much blood before we could get to him. He’s..." The man on the other end sighs. "He’s only got an hour."
Your phone hits the floor, followed by your over flowing tears. Millions of thoughts start racing through your mind. He was leaving you behind in this world, and that was tearing you to pieces. You close all sounds out around you, still crying, you stare out the window.
"It’s...snowing...."
You slowly make your way to the front door, when you hear your mother ask where your going.
"Ah... I’ve got something to do."
"Don’t forget to take a coat, it’s snowing you know."
"Mmm, I know. It’s beautiful..." You mumble to yourself. Ignoring your mother’s warning, you leave the warmth of your house and walk through the street that was now filling quickly with snow. Still lost in your thoughts, you head for your spot in the field. The place you told Jake that you loved him for the first time a few days ago. And now, he was going to die in less than an hour. "Jake" You whisper to yourself. "I love you so much, and I don’t want to be left behind. I want to freeze my heart with all these warm memories you’ve given me." You sit against the trunk of a tree, shivering and feeling spots on your skin start to tingle and burn.
"It feels like...I’m getting frost bites all over. My heart was always frost bitten, but you melted away all the frost, and pain with your warm embraces. This time, I don’t want to be melted." Your body starts to numb, but you can still feel the tingles. "Jake. I’ll....meet....you...again...." Your eyelids slowly start to feel heavy, and you let sleep take you over. You know you won’t be waking up, but thats what you had planned when you saw that first snowflake pass your window. The last words to leave your mouth were 3 little words that never had such meaning as they did to you that night.
"I...love....you."
The next day the sun was shining brightly again, and the snow melting away. It was strange, nobody could explain where that snow had come from, and why it came and went with no warning, or reason. Your parents noticed you hadn’t come back from last night, and had a few neighbors help look for you. They found your body against the tree, your arms hugging your knees to your chest a small smile graced your lips. Even though the sun had started melt the snow around you, your body was still frozen. Your memories were happy ones. They had Jake’s and yours funeral on the same day. Both of your parents were devastated, but decided to get together and form a support group for teens that lived the same lives as you did. Your father sobered up, your mother could finally smile again despite losing her only child. They visit your grave everyday, asking for you to forgive them and their ways. Carved on your gravestone was an Angel, and underneath were the words, "Frost Bitten Angel. A memory frozen in time." And right next to your grave was Jake’s. In the end, your souls lived happily ever after together, never feeling pain or sadness any longer. Only your smiles that seemed to make the sky brighter.
