Friendship Bracelets Making Them can be so Much Fun

My daughter has really started to get into making friendship bracelets. It's something I must say that I done years ago when I was a child. My mom had got a book from the local bookstore for my birthday, it actually came with material and various beads to get you started. It was the first of many books, which patterns that I got for when I was 10 years old. I remember making my first bracelet and giving it to my friend Betty. She was so excited at the time as nobody else had ever given her one and she said she would keep this forever. Over the next couple of years I made so many bracelets and learned to use different types of patents and material. To be honest at first I found this quite a challenge.

The challenge in the beginning was trying to get the knots done. My mom had to spend time with me and show me the basics. After a few weeks of getting it all completely wrong I begin to figure out different patterns and different types of knots. It was all rather simple really, but I think I just got so frustrated and just want to try do my best that I can just talk a little bit longer to get going.

I have been doing research on various patterns was quite difficult I used to go to our local bookstore and read everything they had whilst in the store. Mr. Johnson who was the owner of the store got so used to having me there that he asked me to watch the place a couple of times while he went out to run for five minutes. It is interesting that I began to understand all the patents and how everything was done really quickly. Nowadays doing research on patterns as much easier because of the Internet. My own daughter has now taken up this hobby and when she wants to do research on a new passion can simply go to the Internet and check what is available. It's even at the stage where she can watch video reviews of how things are done.

Once you start to make friendship bracelets is something that stays with you for the rest of your life. My mom got me the basics and I have also done this with my daughter it's interesting that this should happen but is actually nice to be able to pass on this to the next generation.
