Traditional Friendship Bracelet Instructions
Material Required

• Embroidery Floss
• Clipboard
• Beads
• Hemp

Instructions

Select any two colors of embroidery floss and divide into three 27-inch strands of each color to make total six strands. Keep the ends of all the strands together, form a knot nearly 1 inch from one end and secure the knotted region by clipping it on a clipboard. Separate the colors in such a way that you have three strands of one color on the right and three strands of the other color on the left. Take the three strands on the left, enfold them over and under all three strands on the right to form a loop. Now poke the strands through the loop and stretch tight, forming a single knot. Likewise take the three strands on the right, enfold them over and under the strands on the left and make a loop. Poke the strands through the loop, stretch tight and make a knot. Repeat these steps until the bracelet is of the appropriate length. Finally hold the ends of the strands together, make a knot and trim the ends to about 1 inch.

Braided Friendship Bracelet Instructions
Material Required

• Embroidery floss
• Scissors
• Measuring tape
• Masking tape
• Safety pin
• Clipboard

Instructions

Take three different colors of embroidery floss and tie them together with a knot. Tie a square knot by putting three same colored strands together to create three thick strands; pin the knot to the clipboard. Now, braid the strands just like you would braid hair i.e., the outer string crossing the middle string, and then becoming the middle string. While doing pull the braid tightly and continue braiding until you get the desired length of the bracelet. Finally, when the braid is long enough to fit around the wrist, tie the free ends with a knot. While tying the bracelet around your friend's wrist, stretch the knotted end through the loop and tie a square knot.

Zigzag Friendship Bracelet Instructions
Material Required

• Embroidery floss, three colors: red (1), blue (2), and green (3)
• Masking tape
• Safety pin
• Clipboard
• Scissors
• Measuring tape

Instructions

Cut six strands to the required length, fold the strands in half and form a loop and knot at the top. Pin the knot to a clipboard and assemble the color strands in the pattern 112233. Take the leftmost red strand, make five forward knots and continue making five forward knots with each strand on the left until you reach the last green strand. With the last green strand, make four forward knots and one forward/backward knot and make four backward knots. Now take the right green strand, make five backward knots and keep making five backward knots with each of the strands on the right until you reach the last red strand. Taking the last red strand, form four backward knots and one backward/forward knot. Using the same red strand, make four forward knots and repeat the above procedure until the bracelet reaches the desired length. Try completing with the same strand that you started with, separate the strands in to two sections and braid each group.
